Mable Katherine Milsted Kimberl

Mable Katherine Kimberl, 86, native and resident of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015. Mable was born on April 25, 1928 in Pensacola, Florida to Dudley & Mable Milsted. She attended St. Stephen’s Parochial School and in 1943 was in one of the first classes to attend the recently consolidated Pensacola Catholic High School. She met the love of her life, Charles Kimberl, on a blind date and they married on Oct. 12, 1947. Mable and Charles have celebrated 67 years together. She raised seven children and instilled in them love, compassion, and faith. She relished having her grandchildren and great grandchildren around her. Mable enjoyed travelling, and vacationed with her family every summer visiting much of the United States. Two high points in her travels were experiencing the Holy Land and being granted an audience with the Pope. She was a founding member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and was involved in numerous capacities with her church. Mable was an active member of many organizations that included the Krewe of Aphrodite, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, and the Civil Airs. She was also a volunteer at St. Paul’s Parochial School, the Alpha Center, and the Burse Club. Mable is preceded in death by her sister, Delores Kane, and brother, Dudley Milsted. Mable is survived by her brothers Bill (Peggy), Reverend Fr. Gordon, and David Milsted(Beverly) and sister, Ellen Contarino (Len). She is survived by her beloved husband, Charles William Kimberl; her children, Steve (Cindy) Kimberl, Katherine (John, dec.) Parish, Sandy (Donald) Brewer, Joe (Karin) Kimberl, Julie (Bryan) Webb, Mark (Mary) Kimberl, and Chris (Jeanne) Kimberl; her 17 grandchildren; and her 13 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Creekside Living Living Facility and Covenant Hospice for their loving care. Memorial contributions may be made to Creekside Senior Living or Covenant Hospice or St Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 29, 2015 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church on Hyde Park Rd.with Reverend Fr. Gordon Milsted as celebrant and Reverend Fr. Doug Halstead, con-celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery on 12th Ave. A reception will be held at St. Paul’s Church after the interment.
