Lourdes Lanceta Labrillazo 1960 ~ 2018 Lourdes Lanceta Labrillazo, 58, of Pensacola, FL, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in Lexington, KY. Born to the late Eriberto and Alicia Lanceta Labrillazo on February 4, 1960 in Chinon, France. After graduating from North Hardin High School in Radcliff, KY, Lourdes started her further studies at the University of Kentucky then served in the US Army as a nurse for ten years of active duty. After receiving an honorable discharge, she attended Alderson-Broaddus College in West Virginia and earned a Physician Assistant degree. Lourdes went on to work as a Physician Assistant in Dothan, AL and Biloxi, MS. While working as a PA she continued her military service as a flight medic in the Army Reserves. She completed her career as a PA with the VA in Pensacola, FL. She enjoyed staying active with her Zumba sisters and especially enjoyed participating in fun runs and other activities. A favorite annual activity was the Relay for Life of Pensacola. Lourdes’ devotion to animals was very evident in the way she loved and cared for her K-9 kiddos, Noah, Sadie, and Bella Rosa. She enjoyed shows as a season ticket holder at the Saenger Theatre and was a supporter of the Pensacola Children’s Choir. Near and dear to Lourdes was her active membership with Holy Spirit Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Catholic Church, and Little Flower Catholic Church in Pensacola. Lourdes is survived by three siblings, Mary (Jim) Williams, Alberta Labrillazo, and Leo (Rebecca) Labrillazo; three nieces, Angelia (Doug) Heinrich, Priscilla (Fred) Lennartz, Mikayla; two nephews, J.R. and Lucas; one great niece, Alexandria, three great nephews, Benjamin, Nicolas, and Colin; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Theresa Ann Labrillazo. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 3:00 p.m., with a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., at Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church 601 Hill N Dale Road, Lexington, KY. Pallbearers are Rene Lanceta, Caesar Lanceta, Nolan Garrido, Ruel Lomigo, Leon Lanceta, Joel Lanceta, Noel Lomigo, and Noly Lomigo. Honorary pallbearer is Col. Allan Lanceta. Burial will take place June 1, 2018 at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida. In Florida, there will be a visitation on June 1, 2018 from 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. at Faith Chapel South, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola, FL. At 1:30 there will be a procession from Faith Chapel South to the 2:00 committal service at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Road, Pensacola FL.
