Linda Ann Bennett

Linda Ann Bennett, age 75, passed away on July 18, 2023, at her home in Pensacola, FL. A loving wife and mother, Linda is survived by her husband, Ronald; her daughter, LeAnne; her son, Bryan; and her two sisters, Judith and Deborah. Linda was born on March 2, 1948, to Mary and Ralph Perry in Chardon, OH. After graduating from Chardon High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Bennett, on November 25th, 1967 at Saint Mary's Church in their hometown of Chardon. Linda moved to Pensacola, FL with her husband and young children in 1973. She soon began working for the doctors at the Neurosurgical Group of Pensacola, where she dedicated over 30 years of service. She began as a transcriptionist and steadily worked her way up to the role of office manager, overseeing the daily operations of 5 doctors and 17 employees. Doing the absolute best at her career was as important to her as it was providing for her family, and she was recognized many times for her outstanding performance by the doctors. Linda loved being a mom. The birthday cakes were always beautiful, expressive and, of course, delicious. The Halloween costumes were always hand-made, detailed and either simply adorable or suitably creepy. And for Christmas she would always go the extra mile in every possible way. She was a true modern woman who successfully balanced excelling at her career and raising her family, even during times where her husband's Naval career sent him overseas for months at a time. Linda eventually retired in 2011 and soon shifted her sights to 'all the other things' that she'd always wanted to explore or return to. She delved back into quilting and cross-stitching, cooking and baking, photography, traveling, gardening, and many other creative endeavors. She was a loving mother to her 3 Corgis: Baily, Brie and Misty. She and her husband also took an active role in the local neighborhood watch program and its' associated community gatherings and fund-raising efforts. Linda's passing was unexpected and devastating. Her presence in the lives of all who knew her will be deeply missed. A service will be held by her family to honor her memory on Tuesday, August 22 at 2 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, located at 100 Beverly Parkway, in Pensacola, Florida.
