Kyle Cameron Harrison

Kyle Cameron Harrison 1996-2018 Kyle Cameron Harrison went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 30, 2018. He was born on September 4, 1996 in Pensacola, FL. He was a graduate of West Florida High School c/o 2015 and played baseball and football. Kyle received the Fellowship of Christian Athlete Award for baseball and football in 2014 and 2015. He also received the Distinguished Athlete Award in 2015, which is given by the United States Marines to a senior varsity sportsman that represents a leader on and off the field. Kyle was apart of two District Championships in Baseball in 2014 and 2015 beating Catholic High School both years and having the game-winning hit in 2015. He was also apart of two District Championships in football, in 2012 and 2014. Kyle was a member of the first football team in West Florida history to win a playoff football game, beating Tallahassee Godby, in true comeback fashion. Kyle added to his West Florida resume by helping coach the Freshman baseball team in 2018, coaching in four games and having a 2-4 record. Kyle will forever be a part of the Jag family. Kyle was a true outdoorsman. He loved spending time in the woods hunting and on the water fishing. He had a love for throwing his cast net and catching mullet. Kyle accepted Christ as his personal Savior at the young age of eight years old. He had a strong relationship with Christ and was an active member of Marcus Pointe Baptist Church where he led the 7th grade boys every week. Kyle had an infectious smile and was a motivator to all who came in contact with him. Kyle had a huge heart, especially for his family. Kyle’s life motto was #teamneverquit. He picked up this motto from a podcast he listened to every day that featured Marcus Luttrell and David Rutherford who are both Navy SEAL veterans. Their positive motivation encouraged Kyle to shed 70 pounds and motivated him to sign up for a Spartan race that was ran Sunday, April 29th. Family and friends of Kyle are starting their training to continue Kyle’s journey by running a Spartan race in his memory. #teamneverquit Kyle is survived by parents, Tonya R., Kenny Sr. (Tonya M.), siblings Katie, Kenny Jr (Meghan), Grandmothers, Marion Haro and Patricia Harrison, Aunts and Uncles, Joyce Ann Power (Samuel), Teresa Kelly, Tammy Munselle, (David) and cousins, Hannah and Samuel Power, Micki and Mysti Munselle, Mandi Rogan, Thomas and Michel Kelley, and Shannon McLauren. Everyone is invited to Marcus Pointe Baptist Church on Friday, May 4th from 5pm-8pm for visitation in Bld D. The funeral will be held at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church on Saturday, May 5th at 1:30pm in the Main Auditorium. In addition to the outpouring of love and encouragement that his family has received from friends and family of Kyle, the family would like to thank Kyle’s team of doctors, nurses, and anyone on staff at Sacred Heart that helped Kyle in his journey. Dr. Shaddix, Dr. Wagner, Dr. Wallender, Dr. Patel, Dr. Pearson, and Dr. Neal and others went above and beyond and treated Kyle like family and not just a patient. ICU nurses Tami, Amanda, Matt, Kyleigh, Brittany and Diane did the same and were loving and supportive to not only Kyle, but also his family.
