Keith Eric Wilbur

Keith E. Wilbur, 52 of Pensacola died September 30, 2016 at Sacred Heart Hospital suddenly after an unexpected illness. Keith was born August 29,1964 to Barbara (Moffatt) and the late Robert A. Wilbur in Southbridge, MA. He graduated from Shepherd Hill Regional High School in 1982 and entered the U.S. Army. He proudly and honorably served for 3 years at Fort Hood, TX. where he met and married his wife of 31 years. The couple moved to Florida in 1990 and Keith began work for Buffalo Rock Pepsi in 1991. He recently celebrated his 25 year anniversary with the company. Keith was a Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast, an admirer of Hot Rods and a die-hard fan of all New England/Boston sports teams. Over the years, he was active in several recreational softball, roller and ice hockey leagues. His love of sports paled in comparison to his love of family. He was a most loving and giving husband and father. He set the bar extremely high for the men who will some day hold his daughters’ hands. He was the purest example of giving to others while expecting nothing in return. There are no adequate words to describe this amazingly full of life soul that was taken far too soon. He is survived by his cherished wife Cara (Groves) Wilbur, beloved daughters Katie, Erica (Dalton), Jamie, and Lindsey Wilbur, adored granddaughter Addison Jones of Pensacola, mother Barbara Wilbur, sister Cheryl Wilbur, brothers Glenn (Catherine) Wilbur and Randy Wilbur all of Charlton, MA. Numerous extended family members and many friends he considered family. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 5-7 pm and a celebration of life memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 11:00 am. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. Please come as you are or wear a favorite sports jersey (unless it’s the Yankees because as Keith said “they suck!”) In lieu of flowers, he would encourage you to do something kind for another or donate to your favorite charity. A ceremony with military honors and interment of ashes will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery at a later date.
