Kathy Lynne White

Kathy Lynne White, born on July 8, 1962, in Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away on September 1, 2024, at the age of 62. Kathy was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister who touched the lives of many with her vibrant spirit and unwavering faith. Kathy graduated from Gulfport High School and went on to build a successful career with the United States Civil Service as a Budget Analyst. She later made Pensacola, Florida, her home, where she continued to bring joy and inspiration to those around her. A passionate traveler, Kathy loved exploring the world and creating lasting memories with her family. She found immense joy in attending her grandchildren’s ball games, playing bingo, and trying her luck on her favorite slot machine. Her "Miracle Monday" videos were a source of hope and encouragement for many, as she shared her deep faith and positive outlook on life. Kathy's infectious phrases, “pleased to be here” and “love ya love ya,” will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, James Meadows; her maternal grandparents, Grace and Ray Sowder; her paternal grandmother, Cleo Warden; paternal grandfather James Hazel Meadows, Sr; and her aunt, Flora Bialorucki. She is survived by her loving daughters, Jessica Nichols (Troy) and Ashley Burkette (Dusty); her devoted mother, Patricia Bennett; her sister, Carol Hosford (William); her brother, Randy Meadows; and her nephew, Travis Conn, as we called her "favorite child." Kathy was also the proud grandmother of five adoring grandchildren: Greyson, Bailey, Mason, Annistyn, and Dylan. She leaves behind many other family members and close friends who she loved dearly. Kathy will be deeply missed, but her light will continue to shine through the many lives she touched. "Love ya love ya." The service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Walnut Hill Baptist Church, 5741 Arthur Brown Rd., Walnut Hill, FL 32568. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM prior to services. After the service, all family and friends are welcome to gather at Ashley’s house to continue honoring her memory. Additionally, we plan to hold a Celebration of Life in Mississippi at a later date, likely next month.
