Juliet Nano Aboy Albesa

Juliet Nano Aboy Albesa passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on December 5, 2023 while surrounded by her loved ones. Juliet was born to Agapito and Maura Aboy on December 4, 1954, in Calaocan Manaoag Pangasinan Philippines, the only daughter, a twin, and the second born of six siblings. Juliet attended Virgen Milagrosa University, School of Nursing and with the help of her older brother who enlisted in the U.S. Navy, immigrated to the United States in 1982 settling in Pensacola, FL. Juliet met Generoso Albesa in 1986 and it was love at first sight. Juliet and Generoso married in June of 1987 and have been happily married for 36 years. In the days before they had children, Generoso would pick Juliet up after midnight from a long work shift and they would drive straight to Ft. Pickens and enjoy fishing under the moonlight together. They have 3 daughters: Jennifer, Juliette, and Jacquelyn. Juliet was a strong force of nature and as a devout Catholic, she was unwavering in her faith in God and Jesus Christ and always encouraged others to pray. Generous, hardworking, caring and referred to by a fellow co-worker as “extremely smart”, she worked as a nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital for 38 years in Oncology and retired out of Labor and Delivery, where she assisted in the birth of countless babies and taught new nurses and residents her expertise in the field. She loved to cook Filipino cuisine and specialized in Kare Kare, Pinakbet, and Bibingka. She enjoyed singing and dancing (The Todo Todo) at parties and special occasions. She lived to host and serve others, welcoming anyone she met to her home and treating everyone like family. She always carried herself with much elegance and class, being up to date on the latest fashion fads. During her last years on earth, Juliet enjoyed traveling and was able to travel back to the Philippines in 2019, for the first time since immigrating to the U.S. In 2021 Juliet was able to visit Alaska and Hawaii. In 2023 she fulfilled her dream of traveling to Europe, specifically Paris, France as well as traveling to London, England, and Rome, Italy. She referred to it as "the trip of a lifetime". A true social butterfly even into her last days, Juliet spent her time at the hospital entertaining her countless visitors, maintaining a positive outlook, spreading her light, and sharing stories of her travels. Above all, Juliet found great joy and purpose in spending time with and caring for her grandchildren for whom she wanted to live. Juliet was preceded in death by her parents Agapito and Maura Aboy, and her older brother, Jose Aboy. Juliet is survived by her husband, Generoso, and their daughters, Jennifer Albesa-Ruiz (Lucas), Juliette Simpson (Nathan), Jacquelyn Holder (William), and her grandchildren Aurora, Ashton, Alister, and Atticus Simpson; her brothers and their spouses: Romeo (Miriam), Jun (Tesse), Nestor (Cleo) and Rocky (Beth) Aboy; brother-in-laws: Rico (Freylin), Day (Nancy) Albesa, and a large extended family, including cousins, nieces, nephews, close friends, and former coworkers whose lives she touched and who, in return, loved her dearly. A visitation service will be held at the Faith Chapel Funeral Home located at 100 Beverly Pkwy, Pensacola, FL 32505 on December 14, 2023 from 4-7PM. Praying of the Rosary will be conducted at 5PM. A mass will be held for her at Little Flower Catholic Church located at 6495 Lillian Hwy, Pensacola, FL 32506 on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 10AM. Mass will be followed by her burial service at Pensacola Memorial Gardens located at 7433 Pine Forest Rd. Pensacola, FL 32526.
