James David Myrick

On September 22, 2021 James David Myrick age 65 departed his earthly home to take the hand off his heavenly father and entered the gates of heaven. David was born on February 23 in 1956 to the late Mr. James Edward Myrick and the late Ms. Jewell Anita Guidy Hall, both of Molino, Fl. David was also preceded in death by siblings Curtis Myrick, Andrew Conway, Henry Myrick. David survived by his spouse Jeannie Edmonson. His children Hunter Myrick, Colby Myrick, Caitlyn Myrick, Dayna Myrick, James David Myrick Jr, along with step children Tammy Godwin (Gene), Tonia Allen (Doug), Terra Edmonson (Lamar). Siblings are Chuck Myrick (Donna), Debbie Gulsby (James), Renee Enfinger (Harvey), Kay Conway (Larry), Petchala Myrick, Rodney Myrick and Brenda Pippins. Grandchildren Chason Miller, Kyler Burkett, Brayden Edmonson , Cara Maria Edmonson and many more who loved him unconditionally. A very special THANK YOU to Steffon Murphy and Rusty Turner who spent many long days and nights keeping David company on his favorite front porch. Friends meant so much to him. David was a kind, humble man. David shared his love for his God, and his family and friends, and to know David was to know that selfless love. He had the heart of a servant. David would gladly lend a hand or an ear. He genuinely would find energy to physically work or share compassion, listen and offer the words he felt may help. The teller of stories....oh, what great memories that will forever be. If you were not laughing or at least learning from these stories then, you definitely were not listening. The best part of this is most of these stories revolved around cutting wood and building a fire. Those fires will burn forever in our hearts when we reflect on our precious dad, spouse, papa , and friend. David enjoyed wood working, vinyl siding and country music. He built a swing and all the kids young and old will forever cherish the times shared with him in his yard with the biggest smile on his face. He wanted all his projects to look like something new- but he wanted his country music old school and genuine... David Ball and The Bellamy Brothers to name a couple. David was kind and simple. He was so gentle and thoughtful. His joy came in the ability to live a life where he showed the world that people mattered. His people mattered. His community mattered. Through sickness and through health, he touched many lives. His love for life even unto death was evident. The outpouring of love for him was and continues to be beautiful in every way. Though his place is now at the right hand of our Father he will reign in the hearts of all whom loved him. May we all celebrate that he is perfectly healed. No more pain and no more sorrow, thankfully no more suffering. Though absent from us with a tear in my eye, I wear a smile on my face as I vision him as he is dancing and celebrating his new body. His perfect new body. His homecoming and his newfound joy. A visitation will be held on October 2, 2021 at Faith Chapel North Funeral Home from 1:30-2:00 pm. Service will follow at 2:00 pm.
