James Raymond "Jim" Clark, Jr

The life of James Raymond Clark Jr is highlighted with loving service to his family, friends and the Lord Jesus Christ. Jim was born in Huntington, Indiana on March 11, 1956. He graduated from Mississinewa High School in Gas City, Indiana in June 1974. He Attended Liberty Baptist College from 1976 - 1980 as a youth pastor major. He married his Valentine, Becky on February 14, 1981 at Thomas Road Baptist in Lynchburg, Virginia. In September of 1983, Jim joined the US Air Force and was stationed at Shaw Air Force Base Sumter, South Carolina and Ramstein Air Base in Germany. He is an Air Force Veteran of the Gulf War. During his time in the Air Force, he received two commendations, one Joint Service Commendation and one Achievement Medal for Attention to Detail and Service. In 1992 Jim and Becky surrendered to go into full time youth ministries. Jim was youth pastor in 5 churches until 2016. He was a maintain supervision for Northview Community for 11 years, but continued to serve the Lord as deacon at Faith Baptist Church where he has been a member for 5 years. Jim was saved at the age of 17 when he was introduced to the Lord Jesus Christ at a Jr/Sr Prim. He excepted Christ as his personal savior acknowledging that he was a sinner, that Jesus died for his sin and Christ was the only way for forgiveness. From that day forward Jim shared his faith with all he met. He worked in bus ministry until he went to college. At college he was involved in children’s ministry, choir, visitation, soul winning, drama with the I Love America Rally, and puppet ministry. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t attempt. After college he married the love of his life, Becky. They had three amazing children which in turn gave them 11 wonderful grandchildren. Over the years he served in 5 ministries where he saw teenagers come to know Christ as their Savior, grow in, and surrender themselves to serve the Lord. He always told them he loved them and he meant that with all his heart. The teens and junior kids loved him. In ministry, he did VBS, took the kids to the Wilds Christian Camp, had all kinds of activities for them, he taught them how to live a Godly life and to love the Lord. He gave them a place where they could feel safe and learn about the Lord through studying God’s Word. When he preached, it was evident he believed every word of the Bible. He served his Lord in ministry for 48 years. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son in law, brother-in-law, brother. He was the best. He loved his family with everything he had and would do anything for them and they loved him. Jim’s life can be summed up in this verse Phil 1:21 “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” On October 5, 2021 at 8:20 pm with his family singing “How Can I Fear When the Savior is Near” he passed from this life into the arms of his Lord and Savior. He is walking on streets of gold and healed from the sins of this earth. His family and friends will miss him very much but those that share his faith in Christ have the blessed hope that they will see him again one day in heaven. He is preceded in death by his mother, Eunice Gilbert Pulley; father, James Raymond Clark, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Clark; daughters Crystal (Andrew) Craven and Heather (Lewis) Collins; son, Daniel (Emly) Clark; sister, Tanya (Jeff) Hammond; brother, Allen Clark; eleven grandchildren, Caleb, Logan, Gabriella, Mason, Julian, Nikolai, Annabella, Scarlett, William, Ronan and Jude Pallbearers will be Daniel Clark, Andrew Craven, Lewis Collins, Andy Rice, Rodney Frey, Glen Booth Visitation will be Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. The funeral service will be on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11:30am. Both visitation and service will be at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, located at 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola. Pastor Jeff Bailie will be officiating. Interment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery.
