Inez Elizabeth Karasek

Inez Elizabeth Karasek 1927-2015 Inez Elizabeth Karasek, 88, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 in Pensacola, FL, after a lengthy illness. She was a lifelong resident of Pensacola and was born on February 24, 1927. She was charter member of the Lutheran Church of The Resurrection. Her maternal and paternal family, The Mitchell and Lewis Family, homesteaded in the Pine Forest and Seminole, Alabama area prior to the Civil war. She is preceded in death by her husband, Martin “Ski” Karasek; her parents, Bessie Lee and Harrie Willburg; her sisters, Irene Klinedinst and Irlene Walczoks, and one niece. Linda Klinedinst. Inez was a truly wonderful mother, person and friend to many. Left to cherish her precious memories are her loving daughter, Joann Smith and son, David (Sonya) Karasek; sister-in-law, Elsie Knack and her two daughters; niece, Brenda (Tony) Long; two grandsons, two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. Not to be missed is the continual love and devotion spent by Joann for the constant “running the roads” with her mother as she truly loved that. Not to be missed are her wonderful neighbors and friends, Barbara and Ken Wiggins. And of course, her special friends at the beauty shop who cared for her so lovingly at the Salon Cheveux were Suzi Smith, Becky McQuaig and Dwight King. She very so loved and looked forward to going each and every week for many years as they pampered her regularly. The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the staff especially to the day shift staff for their compassionate and loving care. Those of special interest to specifically mention are: Q Sims, Pam Knight, Dee Malone, Patricia Jackson, Mary Lewis, Minerva Warren, Romana Frye and Jocelyn Hayley. A sincere thank you to the staff of Covenant Hospice, where she spent her last days in total comfort as they looked after her every need and providing warm care. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Northwest Florida Council on Aging, Retreat of Adult Day Care Center. Graveside service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 1:15 p.m. Services will be conducted by Reverend Randy Blankschaen officiating.
