Icletus Douglas

Mrs. Icletus Douglas, 85, a resident of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. Icletus Douglas was born in Allentown, FL on January 31, 1939 to Robert and Lerline Trawick, and grew up in Pensacola as one of four children. Icletus was wed on June 30, 1956, in Pascagoula, MS, to Charles B. Douglas, and they had six beautiful daughters. Icletus, as a young mother, worked at the Monsanto Company, and later filled numerous roles as the family grew. As a beloved mother, she was many things to her daughters, among those she was a chef, chauffeur, referee, nurse, friend, and secret keeper. Icletus traveled extensively throughout the U.S. with Charles during his long career as an electrician, residing in some fantastic places. Among them, her favorites were New York, Las Vegas, and Fort Pierce. Icletus had many interests and greatly enjoyed caring for her plants, visiting the beach, and spending time with family and friends. Icletus is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lerline Trawick; sisters, Louise Atkinson and Iona Conrad; brother, Earl Trawick; son in law, Johnnie Faulk; and husband, Charles B. Douglas. Survivors include her daughters: Donna Faulk; Pamela Douglas; Angelia Redding (Greg); Belinda Prehn (Rex); Sonja Douglas; Rhonda Queen (Richie); special brother-in-law, Larry Douglas (Pat); sister-in-law Brenda Douglas; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous family and friends. Family, friends, and others whose lives Icletus touched are invited to Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Pkwy, Pensacola, on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 2:30 to 3:30 PM. Chaplain David Gibson will officiate the service, with interment to follow in Roberts Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Icletus’ grandsons and sons-in-law: Brooks Colley, Jonathan Faulk, Thomas Hughes, Charles Prehn, Rex Prehn, and Greg Redding. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Queen, Nathan Queen, Corey Prehn, and Steve Bailey.
