Hazel Arlena Beal

Hazel A Beal, 84, born April 1, 1941, in Atlanta Georgia to Paul W. and Beatrice Collins passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, with her family by her side. Hazel resided in Pensacola, Florida. Hazel was a devoted wife, mother, and loving grandmother. Hazel met Malcolm Beal, Sr., and they were married on December 12, 1958. Hazel worked at Vanity Fair, the Escambia County School system and owned her own Ceramic shop for many years supplying the local Florist Shops here in Pensacola. In 1991 she continued her father’s legacy after his passing by moving to Houma, Louisiana where she took over Paul’s Auto Salvage. She was an extremely accomplished seamstress. Hazel treasured the many trips she took to Disney with her family. In her later years, she loved gambling and visiting the Casino's. Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice and Paul Collins; sister, Frances Clapper; and her loving husband, Malcolm L Beal, Sr. She is survived by her sister, Pauline (Ken) Mccleave; children, Malcolm L. (Morris) Beal, Jr., Lisa L. (Bobby) Lullo, and Missy (Brandon Thomas) Dreadin. Hazel devoted many years to caring for her 11 Grandchildren, Chad (Gizelle) Phillips, Jason (Nichol) Phillips, Melissa (Mike Jenkins) Beal, Paul (Chelsea) Beal, Christopher (Lucia) Lullo, Nicholas Lullo, Gage (Sam) Dreadin, Shelby (Mitch) Gautreaux, two great nieces and a great nephew she raised as her own grandchildren, Rhonda (Chad) Rakestraw, Renee (Jeff) Keiek, and Ronnie (Amanda) Watson. Hazel leaves behind 18 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a niece Vernoica (Ronald) Watson. Her home was always open to her family. She has numerous nieces and nephews that will miss her dearly. Pallbearers will be Paul Beal, Chad Phillips, Jason Phillips, Christoher Lullo, Jeff Keiek, Ronnie Watson. Honorary pallbearers are Gage Dreadin, Nicholas Lullo, Mitch Gautreaux and Jaiden Padilla. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 12:00 PM. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM before her service at Faith Chapel North. She will be laid to rest at Spanish Cove Cemetery in Lillian, Alabama. The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Hospice Vitas. Also, a special thanks to John (Gary) McCargo with Pruitt Health.
