Elliot Tucker Gentry

Elliot Tucker Gentry, at only 52 minutes old, passed away in his parents' arms at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, FL on January 26, 2021, at 1:50 p.m. Many did not get to meet Elliot, but so many prayed for him while he was carried here on earth. His time may have been short, but he left a lasting impression on countless hearts. He had his daddy’s nose and a beautiful head full of hair. Although his tiny body did not form properly in the womb, he was “fearfully and wonderfully made” by his Creator, and perfect in his mommy and daddy’s eyes. Elliot’s name means “The Lord is my God”. He will never know the trials of this world, but he will forever know our Savior. His big sister, Amelia, chose his middle name. When she was asked what to name her little brother, without hesitation, she said “Tucker”. Elliot is preceded in death by Grand Godmother, Jane Fullbright; Great Grandparents, Zella Justice, Joyce Ballard, Iris Ballard, Marie and William McGarity. Elliot is survived by Father, Jacob Gentry and Mother, Kaitlin Gentry; Sister, Amelia Gentry; Grandparents, Deborah and Gary Gentry, Donna and Brent McGarity; Grand Godfather, Scott Fullbright and his wife, Hazel Fullbright; Great Grandparents, Glen Justice, Art Ballard; Aunts and Uncles, Hannah Gentry, Jared Gentry, Justin Davis, Natasha and Keeton Wainscott. Visitation will be Saturday, January 30, 2021, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at Mullenix Chapel, Pensacola Christian College. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM. Dr. Jeff Redlin will be officiating. Interment will be at Bayview Memorial Park. Jacob and Kait would like to thank their midwife and all their nurses at Baptist Hospital. They could not have asked for a better group of people to be surrounded by, for they went above and beyond to help in any way they could. They also would like to thank the Campus Church for arranging a sweet celebration of Elliot’s life. Finally, they wish to thank all their families and friends who have rallied together to help, love, and support them.
