Elizabeth Ann Hatcher

Elizabeth Ann Hatcher, 90, of Pensacola, FL passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Ann Hatcher was born in Hard Labor, Florida. She met and married W.K. in Pensacola, Florida in 1951. She went on to work for the Escambia County School Board as a cafeteria worker for over 20 years. Ann loved to cook and spend time with her family, often on a dune buggy or boat in her younger years. Ann Hatcher went by many names, Mom, Mama, Grand, Grandmother, Mal Mal, Aunt Ann and many more. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend. Ann had a song for every occasion and could be heard singing tidbits often. She had a smile for everyone. To know her, was to love her. She is predeceased by her husband of 45 years, William Kiahnez “W.K.” Hatcher; parents, Willie Mike Hinson and Carolyn Varnum Hinson; her sons, William Kiahnez “Billy” Hatcher, Jr., and John Michael (Wade) Hatcher, Sr.; her siblings, Merle Floyd, Pearl Anderson, Laverne Yeazel, Bette Cobb, and Elsie Amos. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Warren; daughter-in-law, Monica Hatcher; grandchildren, Amy Childs, Hayley (Micheal) Faulkner, John (Rebekah) Hatcher, Jenna Hatcher, Becky Mercer and Machelle Mercer; great-grandchildren, Breann Childs, Emily Faulkner, Amberly Gaspard, Makayla Faulkner, Aidan Faulkner and Simon Hatcher; siblings, Ellen (Jim) Hadden, Carole (Bill) Perry, Linda Parks, and Robert “Bobby” Hinson; nieces, Diann Anderson, Merry (Donald) Brazelle, Mary Jones, Joyce (Steve) Schafer, Jamie (Robert) Normandin, Laurie (Terry) Pennock; nephews, Kary (Denise) Hadden, Bill (Linda) Yeazel, and David (Pat) Amos; and numerous special great (and great-great) nieces, nephews and cousins. A special mention to the staff and residents at Arcadia who loved Mrs. Hatcher as much as her family did. We love you mostest more Grand! Viewing will be on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. for family, 10:00 a.m. for friends and the funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. There will be an option to view the services remotely.
