Debra Ann Pintar

Debbie Pintar went home to be with her Savior on August 3, 2024. Debbie was born August 1, 1964, in Topeka, KS, the daughter of Richard and Shirley Rew. At 17 years old, she married the love of her life, Gary Pintar. They were married on May 1, 1982, and made their home in the Kansas City area, where they raised and home-educated their five children: Ashley, Josh, Christina, Rebekah, and Richard. In 2005, they moved to the Tampa Bay area, and in 2015 to Pensacola, Florida. Debbie loved spending time with her family, being “Mom” to many, and serving her Savior in multiple ministries in each of her local churches: Tri-City Baptist Church (Independence, MO), Providence Baptist Church (Riverview, FL), and Campus Church (Pensacola, FL). Her ministries included Sunday School, choir, children’s ministry, nursery, missions committee, and many more. She enjoyed working with her local home-educators group and 4-H club in Missouri. She owned a home daycare business for over 25 years and served on local and Florida state daycare boards. She loved working with babies and children and helping new moms as they raised their families. At Pensacola Christian College, she served in the staff daycare and then as a supervisor at the college library. Throughout her life, she was a wonderful example of service and love. Debbie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Gary; her daughter Ashley Duarte and husband Eric, of Pensacola, FL; her son Josh Pintar and wife Emily, of Pensacola, FL; her daughter Christina Halsey and husband Stephen, of Pensacola, FL; her daughter Rebekah Pintar, of Pensacola, FL; her son Richard Pintar and wife Tori, of Flint, MI; six grandchildren: Natalie and Nathan Pintar; Hailey, Carli, William, and Ezra Halsey. She is also survived by her two brothers, Richard (Linda) Rew of Powell, TN, and Darren (Julie) Rew of Harrisonville, MO, and her sister, Suzy (Mike) Frizzell of Grain Valley, MO. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Rew, and her parents. A celebration of Debbie’s life will begin with the family receiving visitors at Pensacola Christian College Mullenix Chapel (250 Brent Lane, Pensacola, FL 32503) on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. with the service immediately following. Since Debbie always wanted those around her to feel comfortable and like family, the family asks that everyone dress business casual. There will be a private burial. With Debbie’s love of ministry and helping students in need, in lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial contributions to the PCC Cares Fund, Pensacola Christian College (pcci.edu/about/giving). This fund provides need-based financial assistance to Pensacola Christian College students.
