Dawn Kenney

Dawn Marie Kenney 1962 - 2021 Dawn Marie Kenney, age 59 of Pensacola, left her earthly body to join her God above on December 3, 2021. Her battle with cancer, her pain, and life ended peacefully with her family surrounding her. Dawn was born on February 18, 1962, at Quonset Pointe, Rhode Island to Pete and Louise Hine. Within a week of her birth, she was whisked away to Pensacola, Fl to live the remaining days of her life. She graduated from W. J. Woodham High School, Class of 80'. Shortly after graduation she married and gave birth to her beautify daughters, Kristina and Brittany. They were the light of her life. She lived every day to care for them, provide love, and just be there for them when they needed her. Dawn loved her family. Her favorite past time, beside TV, was get-togethers with family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her sister, daughters, grandchildren and friends. A simple hobby such as coloring was her way reducing her stress and relaxing. She had a heart of gold which sometimes could be a problem for her, since it kept her from saying, "No". Everyone knew if they were hungry or in need of a hug, they could come see "Mama Dawn". Like the rest of our family, Christmas is our favorite holiday to celebrate. She loved giving gifts and seeing the reaction it produced. So what more appropriate holiday month for Dawn's Christian soul to depart this earth. Her dream was to have one last family gathering before she went to heaven. Her dream was fulfilled as we were there at her side upon her last breath. Dawn was proceeded in death by her parents, Pete and Louise Hine; brother, Peter Paul Hine, Jr. She is survived by her sister & brother-n-law, Wanda & Mark Greeley; Two daughters Kristina Kenney & Brittany Kenney; Five Grandchildren Ronald J Lundy, Jr., Mykal Burkett, Ayden Kenney, Nevaeh & Nathaniel Applegate; Great-grandchild Riley Dean; One Aunt & Uncle, Betty & Dave Davis; and multiple cousins and friends. Come join us for the celebration of Dawn's eternal life and the reuniting with her heavenly family. The Celebration will be held on December 20th @ 5:30 pm at Jubilee Church (5910 north "W" Street, Pensacola, FL) with Pastor Tim Fox officiating. A special thanks to all her family, friends, church family, the staff at Sacred Heart Cancer Center: Dr. Alsayad, Jessie Carden APRN and the nurses for the care, prayers and love you gave her.
