Dallas Warfield Diamond

Dallas Warfield Diamond, 84, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on May 27, 2021. Dallas was born in Roseann, Virginia on May 6, 1937 to his loving parents, James and Myrtle Diamond. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Sister Loueria, Brother Ervin, Brother Burns, Brother Bill, Sister Isabel, and Brother Junior. His loving wife, Karen Underwood Diamond, whom he married on June 27, 1963, in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, survives him. The two children of Dallas and Karen are Son Kevin Diamond with Wife Laurie Diamond, and Daughter Kandace Patel with Husband Nash Patel. His grandchildren Dustin (Stephanie) Diamond, Amanda (Thumper) Diamond, Brittany Patel and Jaiden Patel survive him along with three great-grandchildren, Madison Owens, Dallas Carter Diamond, and Bryce Diamond; and brother, Roy Diamond. Dallas served in the United States Navy for 30 years where he retired as an E9 Master Chief in Pensacola, Florida, in the year of 1983. During his time in the United States Navy, he trained thousands of veterans, completed nine tours overseas, worked on the flight deck of the USS Forrestal, USS Saratoga, and the USS America, where he was awarded the Navy Medal of Achievement for having over 5,000 incoming/outgoing flights with no incidents. While aboard the USS Forrestal, he was the only veteran on the flight deck to wave the highly classified C130 plane in for a successful landing. All who crossed paths with Dallas knew that he was always able and prepared to help others in need. Beyond his service in the Navy, Dallas displayed a magnitude of life lessons and wisdom to those he spent quality time with and with his family members. His deep appreciation for family values allowed the Diamond family to remain close over his lifetime and led to his ability to bond with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Undoubtedly, Dallas loved his Wife beyond all things in the world. He enjoyed having the blessing to spend time with his family up to his final days. The service for Dallas Diamond will be held at Faith Chapel Memorial South on 100 Beverly Parkway. Pensacola, Florida 32505 at 10am for Family. Following shortly after, at 10:30, we invite his friends and fellow peers to the Service starting at 11:30. Pallbearers are Dustin Diamond, Jaiden Patel, Thumper Grice, Travis Underwood, Cody Underwood and Kishane Patel Honorary Pallbearers are Kaleb Underwood, Daniel Lewis, Amar Patel, Roshan Patel, and Aman Hussain Following the service, at or around 12:30pm, the family will proceed to the Barrancas National Cemetery for graveside services at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association at act.alz.org. Finally, the family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to Zandra Bohannon with Lending a Helping Hand with Zandra LLC for her assistance with this service.
