Brenda Juanell Beck

Brenda Juanell Beck, age 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 6th, 2023. She was born on February 21, 1941 in Pensacola, FL to Ernest and Helen Beck. Brenda went to school in Molino FL and spent most of her life there and in Fort Walton Beach with the exception of 20 happy years in California and a brief stint in Texas. Brenda was married for a time to Don Arnould and had two sons, Calvin and Dale, and raised them in Ft. Walton Beach. Brenda loved her sons and enjoyed playing ball with them, games and also supporting them through their dirt bike riding years. She had a zest for life! She earned her beautician license as a young woman and spent many years as a homemaker. While at home, she fell in love with Maltese dogs, her favorites were Glory Girl and Tessa. She learned how to both groom and breed her little canine friends and spent many years competitively showing them. Glory Girl was an AKC Champion! During her years in California, Brenda pursued many of her passions; driving a semi-truck, creating and selling leather goods, and building an aviary for her many birds. The highlight of her years in California was her time spent working at Flabob airport as the office manager. While there she helped her husband, Bill, manage the Stolp Starduster business which housed open cockpit, bi-wing stunt planes. She loved attending flight school while there and enjoyed many hours of flying. Brenda left the Golden state in the late 1990s to return home and look after her aging parents. She continued enjoying her dogs and birds and many plants and trees in Florida. Brenda was very loving and loyal and had many long-time friends. One of her favorite pass-times was hitting the casino’s with her “Golden Girls” friends. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Helen Beck and her first grandchild, Jillian Arnould. Brenda is survived by her sons Calvin Don Arnould Jr. (Julie) and Dale LaRue Arnould and long-time friend Ed Metcalf; Grandchildren Rachel (Jacob) Pidek, Stephanie (Benaiah) Stanley, Dale LaRue Arnould II (Franco Retamales), Larah (Hodari) Gregory, Jacob Arnould and Alana Arnould; great-grandchildren Jarred Thompson, Evelyn, Josephine and Gideon Pidek, Freya and Danny Stanley, Leon, Auria, Zion, Ava, Titus, and Eliora Gregory. A celebration of life service will be held at Highland Baptist Church on Saturday, June 10th at 5:00 p.m. A private internment service will be held at a later date.
