Alicia Morante Chastain

Alicia Chastain 1953 – 2017 Alicia Morante Chastain was born and raised in Baguio City, Philippines on October 26th 1953. There she attended St. Louis Girls' High School and St. Louis University. When Alicia was in her late teens, she moved with her family to San Francisco California, her newly adopted home town. Alicia then went on to join the US Navy, for two years, followed by two years in the Navy Reserve. During this time period she met and married her husband of over forty years, Michael Chastain. Then becoming a mother of two daughters, Martha and Kimberly. She and her family lived in various states across america, as well as Japan. Alicia had various jobs, however, her most notable being the 30 years she spent working for the Civil Service. She was a very hard worker and received many accolades during those years. Alicia was also a member of her local Filipino-American Community, as well as, UPANGS where she once served as a committee member and participated in their dancing group. Alicia enjoyed spending time with her friends and family in joy and laughter. She loved her granddaughter and her many pet cats. Alicia was strong in her Catholic faith and had a strong moral compass. All who knew her loved her. Alicia is preceded in death by her mother, Juanita (De La Cruz) Morante Vistro; father, Cayetano De Guzman Vistro; brother, Romulo Morante Vistro and sister, Julie Vistro. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Steven Chastain; daughters, Kimberly Ann Chastain and Martha Alice Chastain-Womble; son-in-law, Michael Carl Womble; grand-daughter, Alicia Lenore Womble; Sister, Brother-in-Law, Niece/Nephews, Great Nieces & Nephews - Gloria & Godofredo Aryan; Rex, Janelle, Rowan & Rockefeller Vanderlipe; Jillian Aryan; Johnathan Ayran; Sister, Nieces - Arlene Vistro-Simmons; Angelica Simmons; Alexandra Simmons; Brother, Sister-in-Law, Niece/Nephews - Rondolfo & Lorena Vistro; Ronald Vistro; Amanda Vistro; Jacob Vistro and Brother, Sister-in-Law, Niece/Nephews - Eldrid & Gemma Vistro; Glenn Vistro; Gerald Vistro; Erika Vistro.
