Albert Johnson Jr.

Mr. Albert Johnson Jr, was born on August 28th, 1958 in Mobile, Al. to the late Clementine King Johnson and Albert Johnson Sr. Albert grew up in Mobile, Alabama, he attended school in the Baldwin County School district. Albert graduated from Murphy High school in Mobile, Alabama, after High School he enlisted in the US army, he served our country for 6 years before receiving an honorable discharge. Albert met his wife through his sister and brother-in-law in mobile, Al. He later moved to Cantonment, Florida. Albert was a worker at McDonalds, Escambia County School district, and Baptist Medical Park. Albert became a part of the overnight floor crew at Walmart in Pensacola, Florida. He worked at Walmart for 18 years until his health began to fail him. Albert confessed his love for Christ and became a member of St. Luke Baptist Church in Cantonment, Florida, under the leadership of Rev. Willie E. White Sr. Albert was in the male choir and served as a deacon. Albert later moved his membership to Providence Baptist Church Cantonment, Florida. He served as a deacon, until God called him home. Albert was preceded in death by His parents Clementine and Albert Johnson Sr, one sister Betty Holley, two brothers Melvin Dillard, and Preston Daniels. After a courageous, lengthy battle with cancer, on the morning of June 3rd, 2024, God whispered to Albert and said “Come unto me, and I will give you rest.” Mr. Albert leaves to cherish his most precious memories his loving wife of twenty-two years Diannia Johnson, whom he affectionately called “Baby”. He leaves two daughter Edwina Moore, and Sonameukia (David) Banks, two sons Tiakanimi (Melissa) Padgett, and Kuan (Shon) White, five granddaughters, five grandsons, three goddaughters Deannia Fountain, Lakesha Mims, and Jasmyne Ezell, four godsons Thomas Gaillard, Marvin (Kellery) Cooks, Everett Williams, and Deonne Williams Jr., five God grandsons, two God granddaughters, one sister Shirley Williams, one brother Sherman Johnson. Two sisters in laws Ruby (Bruce) Cooper, Cassandra (Robert) Lavender, Four Brother in laws Jerry Gaillard, Raymond Cooks Sr, Timothy Gaillard Sr, and Ronnie Gaillard. Two very special friends Robert Lavender and James Mincey (Redd), a special cousin in law, Alicia Cooks. And a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. ______________________________________________________________
