Pamela Gail Hirn

Pamela Gail Hirn (Dykes) 1951-2016 Pamela Gail Hirn (Dykes), 65, passed away peacefully August 11, 2016 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Pam was born in Pensacola, Florida to Maurice and Marjorie Dykes. She graduated from Woodham High School, married and moved to upstate New York where she lived for eleven years. She embraced her role as a young mother to three children: Alan (Joy) Moffitt, Kimberly (Chuck) Adcock and Richard (Megan) Moffitt. In 1980 she returned to the Pensacola area settling in the Pace community. Pam worked as a seamstress at Vanity Fair for many years while raising her family. After the children were grown and started their families, she remarried and began a new phase of life. In later years, Pam became the owner and operator of a successful residential cleaning business named Sunshine Cleaning Services. She enjoyed helping people and making them happy with her business. Pam was an avid bowler, talented softball pitcher in her earlier years, longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church, and a big FSU Seminole fan. The recording of a Christian album with her twin sisters titled In Hymn was a highlight of her musical talents. Pam is preceded in death by her parents Maurice and Marjorie Dykes. Her beloved puppy dogs Pee Wee and Barney also passed away in recent years. She is survived by her loving husband Richard E. Hirn; her proud children Alan, Kim and Richard; her stepchildren R.C., Kristi, Cami and Kiffany; her grandchildren Mackenzie, Nick, Bentley, Collis, Eli, Marcus, Isaac, Elijah, Gabe, Carlena, Crystal, Amber, Steven, Trevor, Tyler, Sierra, Kirsten, Hunter and Katie. She has eleven great grandchildren from Richard’s family. Pam is also survived by her siblings: Donna Riley, Debbie Wilson, David Dykes and Randall Dykes. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 12:00pm at Bethel Baptist Church located at 3097 Patricia Drive, Pensacola. Brother Wayne Cooper will officiate the service. Visitation will be held at 10:00am preceding the service at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will take place immediately after the service at New Hope Cemetery adjacent to Scenic Bay Baptist Church at 3803 Wimbledon Drive. Pallbearers for the service will be: Chris Riley, Seth Riley, Jon Wilson, Clay Wilson, Chase Wilson and Tom Cumming. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Nick Moffitt, Collis Adcock, Eli Adcock, Marcus Moffitt, Isaac Moffitt, Elijah Moffitt, and Gabe Moffitt.
