Florencio Cava Dalindin

Florencio Cava Dalindin, age 89, met his Lord and Saviour on November 27, 2022. He was born on February 23, 1933 in Cabangan, Zambales, Philippines. He met his wife Naomi Gipan in 4th grade. They reunited through love letters and have been married for almost 59 years. They have four daughters who loved him dearly. In his youth he helped with the family farm in the Philippines. As he matured, he was a bus conductor, worked in a shipyard and enjoyed playing baseball and boxing. Florencio started his Navy career stationed in Key West, Florida and ended 30 years later where he retired as Chief AZC Aviation Maintenance Administrationman in Pensacola, Florida. Florencio lived his life by example to his daughters and all that knew him. He was a Christian man, great father, loving husband and wonderful friend. He loved to read his bible, fish, garden, bake pandesal, listen to music and play games. He served as a deacon in church and witnessed to anyone that would listen. Along with his wife, he sponsored a church in Nag-iba Philippines. He raised his daughters to love Christ, honor their parents and cherish their families. He adored his wife and pledged his love in their wedding vows/renewals on four different occasions over 59 years. He told many stories and would rarely turn down a game night with friends and family. All who knew and loved him called him Rene’, Daddy and Grandpa-Lolo. He will be missed by us all. Rene’ was preceded in death by his parents Damaso and Maria Dalindin, his brothers– Abraham, Edilberto and Alejandro. He was survived by his wife- Naomi Dalindin and his daughters– Rosemarie (Max) Robertson, Irene (Ronald) Legaspi, Fern (Mark) Austin, May (Shane) Blake. His grandchildren– Olivia (Spencer) Martin, Noah (Savy) Robertson, Jared Robertson, Anatolia, Evangelina and Nicolas Legaspi, Daryn and Aiden Austin. His great grandchildren- Emma Martin, Shae Ferguson (Robertson). And his sister– Petronila Amagna. Please join us in Celebrating His Life this Tuesday, December 6, 2022. Viewing at West Pensacola Baptist Church 5213 W Jackson Street 32506 between 10:30am-12:30pm, Memorial Service to follow from 12:30pm -1:30pm.
